Arrowtown is an old gold mining town near Queenstown which was built on the banks of the Arrow River in 1862. The town is renowned for its stunning autumn colours and rich history. Our Arrowtown Holiday Park is a great base so you can explore this unique town and the surrounding area.

Hiking Trails

One of the best hikes in Arrowtown is Big Hill. Famous for tussock grass and breathtaking views. The Sawpit Gully Track is a beautiful short loop from Arrowtown that leads up German Hill before returning back to the town.

Golf Courses

Arrowtown is a golf lover’s paradise with three iconic golf courses including the Millbrook Resort, a 36-hole championship course which is home to the New Zealand Golf Open.

Biking

Arrowtown is surrounded by beautiful cycling tracks, including the renowned Queenstown Trail. If you are looking for a short ride, the Arrowtown River Trail is a fantastic loop track.

Wineries

Central Otago is regarded as one of New Zealand's premier wine regions. Join a guided Arrowtown wine tour or hire a bike and cycle along the Arrow River to the Gibbston Valley wineries.

Lakes District Museum & Art Gallery

The local museum provides insight into the early history of the Whakatipu region. While the gallery features works from talented local artists. You can even hire a pan and try your luck panning for gold at the Arrow River.

Arrowtown Chinese Settlement

The Chinese Settlement is a heritage listed, historic village which was founded by Chinese people during the Otago Gold Rush of the 1860s. The village has been restored and is now a popular tourist attraction.

Our reception is open from 8am to 6pm every day.

Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 10am.

If you know you will be arriving after hours, please let us know so we can let you know our late arrival procedure.

We are a pet friendly park in the camping area only. Pets are not permitted during Peak periods, long weekends & special events – Please check with the park in advance to avoid disappointment on arrival.  Pets are not permitted in any accommodation buildings or communal areas. Pets must be on a lead at all times and not left unaccompanied. Please ensure you clean up after your pet at all times.

1GB of complimentary WiFi is available on check-in. Additional data can be purchased from reception if required.

Yes, we have a laundry room with tap and go washing machine and dryers.

The kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans, cutlery and crockery. There is also hobs, ovens, a microwave, fridge/freezers, kettles, toaster, tea towels and a drink vending machine.

Linen is provided in all our units and is available for hire in the lodge
