New Zealand’s most scenic marathon! The course commences at Hawks Crag and heads up the gorge to a turning point near Berlin’s, then back down the scenic, undulating Buller Gorge Highway to a finish at Victoria Square, Westport.

Traversing the stunning 85km Old Ghost Road and with more than 2,600 metres of ascent, the Old Ghost Ultra offers competitors the ultimate test in backcountry running.

Visitors can sample a wide array of local natural foods, ranging from some of the weirdest and most exotic delicacies to fabulous gourmet specialties.
